Sarbanes-Oxley Microsoft Accelerator Forensic accounting workshop demonstrates how Accounting academics and practitioners can use Microso= ft Share Point Team Services and Share Point Server to assist an internal audit team in implementing, investigating, and improving compliance aud= it services. It describes how to become an Accounting Expert Witness and h= ow to provide Expert Witness Testimony, with an emphasis on HIPAA (Health = Insurance Portability and Accountability), Sarbanes-Oxley, and Basel II Compliance Forensic Accounting.

We will discuss R&D for experienced expert witnesses, including the issues of dealing with the forensic team of professionals. This workshop focuses on using forensic accounting techniques in general, and providi= ng Computer Litigation Support in particular. The workshop objectives incl= ude helping experienced expert witnesses to review their skills and upgrade them, while demonstrating to prospective expert witnesses the nature of= the work, its intellectual challenges and financial opportunities and rewar= ds. We plan to meet such objectives, by lectures, role playing, demonstrati= ons, and most importantly active participation of the audience as well as di= scussions and arguments of pros and cons of various issues.

Format/Structure:
DVDs for litigation support, including the pros and cons of different standards such as DVD+/-RW/VR (Digital Versatile Disk, Read Write, and Video Recording), DVD-RAM (Random Access Memory), HD (High Definition)-= DVD, Blu-Ray DVD, DVD Copying, dubbing, burning, and recording, focusing on = the technical and legal facets.

GENERAL INFORM= ATION

About the Program:

Avi & Sara Rushinek have been teaching dancing at the = university of Miam= i since 1987, at the continuing education school and at the Hillel Center. Their unique teaching style incl= udes video taping the dancing instructors, while recording their dance to DVD. The students receive a= free copy of the video dance as part of their tuition.. The students can review the dance and play it back as much as needed. Our program beg= ins with a beginner's course, which is designed for everyone from a person wi= th absolutely no prior dancing experience, as well as others who've danced ballroom but are not familiar with Casino style. Upon successful completi= on of the Beginner's course, students may move into Intermediate I, then Intermediate II and finally the Advanced courses.

This course is ideal preparation for weddings and social events. The classes a= re not cumulative so you can start anytime.

About the classes:

Each course consists of 10 classes, each of which is 90 minutes long. It is our mission to provide every student with a complete = 90 minutes of valuable and relevant advice and information in a relaxed atmosphere. The material covered in each class will build upon material covered in previous classes, so it is very important that students attend each class!

It is not required that you bring a partner. Students will= get to dance with all other students of the appropriate gender, which will se= rve to help develop better dancing skills.

REPEATING A CL= ASS

Some students move through each course with ease, while ot= hers will struggle the first time around. We believe that, with some effort and perseverance, each student can successfully learn and become good dancers. Each instructor will emphasize strongly that it is better to repeat a cou= rse and learn the information very well than to move into a course and end up quitting because it is too difficult. We want to make it as easy as possi= ble for students to repeat a class, and we are happy to offer this option to students for only $25.00. If you are interested in repeating a course for which you've previously registered, all you need to do is send an email message at least 48 hours before the first class to email arushine@aol.com , or at arush@miami.edu and have your name ad= ded to the roster. Then, stop by the Welness Suite before the first class in the course and pay the $25.00 to complete your registration. Remember: t= he email message is required to be registered as a repeater!
