Description/Objectives:
This study develops a methodology of ecommerce of lecture DVDs & VOD-casting on the WWW (World Wide Web) as a blended assessment technique.
Assessment of accounting programs by national, international, or regional organizations and Recruiting Candidates lends itself to computer automation. Compliance with the EEOC and Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA/M Computer Preps, target Internet Publishing Video DVD/CD Recording, and web-casting or multi-media streaming tools to be more effective and efficient, and provide a more enjoyable experience. The focus of our current research is in certification accreditation/reaffirmation efforts, which is getting increasingly more complicated and demanding. The only way to master it quickly and efficiently is by some automated hands-on activities. What is assessment? And what do regional accrediting agencies expect? Much like any assessment activity, the evaluations and accreditation process involves: Developing an assessment plan; Building and using measurement standards; Motivating participants (existing and prospective faculty and students) to be involved and contribute; Performance Evaluation Feedback; Risk Mitigation; Deficiency Remediation Action; Revision of the assessment plan and recruiting streamline automation.

Screen Shot 2 shows “The eCommerce Site Responds by Displaying the Estimated Shipping Cost and A Dialog Input Box for A Credit Card.” At this point the surfer can order the DVD’s and they will be shipped to the specified address. In the event that the surfer wants more information about the DVD, the surfer can click on the [More Information] button and get more detailed information about every DVD.
After the surfer clicks the [More Information] button, the surfer gets another screen that displays the image of the DVD. The surfer can rotate the DVD image and see all 3 views of the DVD.
The Inside View of the DVD case Displays the Flyer Picture and the Image placed on the DVD, with the title of the DVD and some additional information.

If the user wants to see, another view of the DVD, the users presses the [Rotate] button again, and the site will rotate the DVD case and display the front or the side image of the DVD, with its related information.

The idea is to provide the instructor, the administrators, the recruiters, and the students, as well as anyone else who may be interested (such as alumni, or people studying for a certification such as CISA, Certified Information Systems Auditor, in this case) in the assessment of the instructor, or in reviewing the material for exam preparation, and use it as an assessment tool.
If the surfer wants to see a video clip of one of the chapters of the DVD, the surfer can click on the web site and stream a video clip, or save a video clip on a local device for later playback.

The important thing is to figure out the pattern page views and downloads of the of the demand of the surfers. The downloads maybe even more important than the page views, since they may represent the surfers that are more interested not only in viewing but also owning the video. Owning the video may be a better proxy to the number of buyers.
It seems that videos that represent products have more downloads, as a general rule. In contrast, with this general rule, the highest number of download goes to the topic: “(888) DVDAuthorEd Org (888)383-2884 Notepad Stores Data Used Last Time Product has” which has 15 downloads, and nothing what so ever to do with a sellable product. So, the puzzling question remains, how can we figure out what is the most interesting to the Google surfer?

The assessment aspect of this method of evaluating the popularity of the videos is our main interest. How can we automatically assess the quality of the instructions without any effort of our own? The answer is in the video recording, DVD-burning, and DVD Publishing as well as video publishing.

Summary, Conclusions, and Implications
We have demonstrated a video based assessment system, that will supplement more traditional assessment software and systems. Even though we have not covered all of the topics, some topics, such as test based video deficiency remediation, and video indexing, will be covered in the future.
Our conclusion is that this method is up and coming even though it offers some challenges, technical and other, it is worth evaluating. More time and better technology will improve dramatically the effectiveness of such assessment method.
The implications to the future of these methods of assessment lays in the technological improvements that are rapidly introduced by the industry. Specifically we are looking at combining testing with DVD and Video based testing as well as CBT; Computer Based Training and Testing, as well as video indexing on the internet WWW, as well as the DVD technologies such as HDDVD (High Definition DVD) and Blu-Ray DVD.
